PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

MEET THIMBLE — a precocious 7-month-old (born May 2016), 5-lb Maltese! She may gain a pound or so at maturity, but she is a petite girl. Thimble was misdiagnosed in the shelter with Shaker syndrome, but since we have had her seen no signs of it. The vet has given her a clean bill of health! She is lovable, funny, and a bit of a firecracker; but she is a sweetheart all around. She loves to PLAY, PLAY, PLAY, loves toys, likes to play fetch and hanging out with her foster brothers and sisters. She even loves her sometimes-grumpy foster sister and follows her around the house. She will snuggle up next to any of the other doggies in the house, so she MUST have another young, small dog in the home who loves to play. Thimble enjoys walks and we are teaching her how to walk on leash — after all, she is just a puppy. She can be skittish at noises she doesn’t recognize, but she figures it out soon enough. Thimble is very shy with strangers but bonds quickly to her people. She is still learning potty pads but mostly uses them when indoors. She likes to go out in yard and do her business. The ideal home for Thimble will have another small playful dog or two, kids over 8 yrs old welcomed...and a loving family who understands what it takes to care for and train a puppy. If you are not up for that task...please adopt an adult or senior pup who needs you!

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID

If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. We will contact you once it has been reviewed.

UPDATE!!!! Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events most every Sunday at ROVER KENNELS on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.

Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!

Don't forget to check out our Events Calendar for more information on upcoming events!

See our home page for more details about our adoptions at Lhasa Happy Homes
