! Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!***
WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet.

Snow Bichion mix 13 lbs he will be 7 this year.

Snow was from a kill shelter in CA. How this poor sweet soul ended up there we will never know, but it was a possibility that he was dumped by his owner. What we do know is that he needed to be rescued so we did just that. He was a neglected mess from his shelter listing, and when we got him to our vets he only weighed roughly 8 lbs. Now Snow weighs a healthy 13 lbs.

We got Snow to our vets and got him neutered, chipped, and he had a dental where he had several teeth removed. He is currently up to date on his shots and he is heart worm negative. It was discovered that Snow was hard of hearing, and he had some issues with trust. He wanted things his own way in his foster home. He had to learn his doggy manners, so off he went to our wonderful trainer for several months to help Snow with his doggy manners.

Snow is back in his foster home now and is doing wonderfully! He lives with his foster sister, and he still does try to steal her food, but when corrected he is respectful. He enjoys sunning himself on lovely days, is food motivated, is very sweet, & enjoys affection. He, is such a lovely little fellow, walks great on a leash, enjoys the company of other dogs, does well around cats, and would do best in a home with no children because of his hearing loss. He needs to go to a home with rescue experience only.

Snow does need you to let him know when you are going to pick him up, or when putting on his leash, etc by smelling your hand because of his hearing loss. He still does have partial hearing, but his adopters will need to be respectful of it.

As with all of our rescues Snow will need work on potty training as do all of the dogs in our rescue.

Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Snow and have read his listing fully to the end. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview, and a home visit followed by a meet and greet - if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Snow that meet all the requirements. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto to dogs for people, as our goal is to save lives. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately.

Snow has an adoption fee of $675 & is ready for his forever family.

**IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ**
An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well.
As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves.
Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved in a safe environment with a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet babies do not ask for much from you but they may require a little patience and understanding.
