Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Oliver – male, neutered, vaccinated to date including Rabies, heartworm tested (-), dewormed, tx flea preventative, ~ 20lbs, ~1.5yrs, Westie/Cairn Terrier type mix.
Oliver was adopted a few months ago but has returned to 4 Legged Love because his current owner has become ill unexpectedly and is finding Oliver to be a bit much to care for and walk.
Oliver is a great little dog. He loves his walks and is great with other dogs. He knows some basic commands and is fairly easy to walk but will pull when he sees other dogs, he is generally good with other dogs and likes to play tugging on his leash and bark trying to reach them. He can be dominant with some dogs but tends to get along with most. He is learning not to be so excited and vocal when he sees another dog but will still need to work on this. He loves time at dog parks and is used to having regular play time with his ‘step sisters’ in their back yard. Oliver is okay with cats and adores children but needs a home with NO SMALL CHILDREN. He can be nippy with small children around his food/bones/rawhides and does not like ‘little people’ at his level trying to take things away when he is chewing on them, because young children often can not understand to leave the dog alone when he has food/bones Oliver needs a home with no children or with older (10yrs+) children that are respectful and gentle with him. He is fine with visiting children but should not have treats/bones/rawhides around when little human friends come to visit. This little guy is a very loving and loyal little companion. His owner is very sad to have to part with him but knows he is better off in a home that can pick him up for cuddling and with someone who can walk him properly. Oliver is crate trained and house trained, he is used to sleeping in a crate when left alone and will sleep in a crate or in the bedroom at night. He is used to being left alone for 9-5hours but is happy to go along on outings with his owner. He is calm, clean and quiet in the home. He is not a hyper dog and enjoys about a 30min walk a day, more if you have time. He likes to fetch and would be great for someone interested in agility or further training with Oliver, he also travels well in the car. If you have children under the age of 10yrs living in the home please do not apply for Oliver. Oliver would be ideal for an active person/couple with no smaller children in the home, he is suitable for apartment living or a house with a fenced yard.
