My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Alvin is a charming precocious kitty. He is active, funny and fiesty, rambunctious, and very friendly. He plays endlessly but loves to sleep on your lap. And of course is as cute as a button!
However, Alvin is something of an enigma. He arrived as a solitary half starved infant, with a horrendously swollen rectum, uncontrollable diarrhea and a broken tail that turned out to be dead. Unable to feed or clean himself his prospects for survival were slim. But weeks of TLC and his own survival instincts pulled him through. No more diarrhea, no more tail(amputated) and eats like a horse. HOWEVER, he remains partially incontinent. He occasionally urinates in the litter box but sometimes seems to wet himself. He also poops sometimes in the box, but carries around bits on his rear until they fall off.
He needs to be outside in a safe situation during the day, but indoors in his cage at night. He craves both the outdoors and the cuddle contact with people. Gets along with cats and dogs.
So what to do with him? We are willing to donate his cage to the right adopter.
Euthanasia has been on the table but that seems so wrong considering he is otherwise so healthy and happy! If you are interested please contact us to discuss his situation in detail.

Do you have room in your life to help give this sweet, handsome boy a chance to live a normal life?

All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.

If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application - Click Here. The application will put you in touch with this wonderful cat's foster family so you can schedule a meeting. Thanks!
