Facts about Earl

  • Breed: Mountain Cur/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) Mix
  • Color: Brown/Chocolate
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
This is Earl, he is such a good little boy. He and 4 other dogs he lived with have been through a lot recently. They were surrendered to us because their owner had to go into the hospital and can no longer care for them. Even though he is in a new place his tail wags all the time and loves to be petted, but he gets nervous when you focus too much attention on him. Earl is 2 years old and is active but not hyper, weighs 14 pounds and will not grow any more. Earl has been neutered and is current on all of his shots. He is used to being around other dogs but may need some time to adjust. If you are interested in adopting Earl or any of our other dogs call the Stone County Humane Society at (870)269-5200 or stop by our kennels on Hwy. 9 south in Mountain View AR.

*These are the names of the other dogs he came with that we still have at the shelter: Joe, Mary Alice. All of these dogs are bonded and we would just love if some could be adopted together!

About Stone County Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

The Stone County Humane Society is a 501(C)(3) private organization, not a government entity that was formed in 1999. We rescue dogs and cats and are a no-kill shelter but we are not an open take in facility. We are currently operating from our new shelter building recently completed in August 2016 and a cat cottage. Our organization is managed by a volunteer board of 8 individuals and various committees that handle the day to day operations. Most of our daily operations are funded by proceeds from a Second Chance Shop in town and donations from individuals. We also provide low cost spay/neuter clinics to the people of our county with help from a local vet.

Our Adoption Process...

We charge a $100 adoption fee for dogs and $50 for cats. To make application to adopt a pet you will need to go to our website schspets.org and complete an online application and someone will call you to discuss adoption process and to make an appointment to visit our kennels and cat cottage.
