Arkansas - read her story's Story...
Arkansas was abandoned in a trailer park when her family moved out and left her behind. She lived on the streets until one of our fosters got a call about her and drove to the next state to rescue her. We cannot imagine why anyone would be so mean to this girl.
She is sweet, gets along with everyone, people, dogs and cats. She is house trained and has never meet and stranger. Everyone at the vet adores her because of her sweet disposition.

She is around 10 months old, so still playful like a puppy. We are not sure about her breeding but she is the size of a Beagle. Around 30 lbs and the vets does not thing she will grow much more.

Arkansas is spayed, UTD on shots, heart worm negative and current on flea/tick prevention and heart worm prevention.

Arkansas' adoption donation is $495. She has been spayed, has had parvo/distemper shots, bordetella (kennel cough), rabies, multiple vet wellness examinations, fecals and been wormed. She is on flea/tick prevention and heart worm prevention. The adoption fee includes the cost of transport and the vet exam needed for the certificate of health necessary to travel.

Arkansas is fostered in Tennessee and will travel to her new home once she has been adopted. We use a professional pet transport to take the dogs to their new homes. PETS, LLC is a weekly transport to the east coast and we use a twice monthly transport to the Chicago / Milwaukee areas.

Our primary source of funding comes from this adoption donation. This donation allows us to rescue other dogs in danger of being put to sleep, injured or sick dogs and dogs that have never known the comfort of a home.
We are a rescue that depends on adoption fees to feed & care for the dogs. We do not receive state or federal subsidies.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Arkansas - read her story, a Stamford Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Stamford, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Stamford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Stamford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Stamford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Stamford paves the way for another one to be saved.
