Cassidy's Story...
A handsome guy with a huge personality once abandoned to the outside then shot in a front leg, this 3 year old who's oh so relaxed drops on any floor as long as it's where you are! Cassidy wants nothing more than to be part of your life. His surgery was successful, his limp is minimal, his love is endless.

If you'd once found yourself abandoned in a busy parking lot would you rise above it? Cowboy did! But then everything about this cat is great. From his chubby cheeks to his gloriously polydactyl feet, this curious and confident boy wants to be part of whatever you're doing. Unless he's busy being a little silly.
Good with other cats and children? Probably. Not much rattles this Cowboy's cage!

Please note that it is Friends of Felines policy to adopt out in Lower Fairfield County, CT and Lower Westchester County, NY.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cassidy, a Stamford Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Stamford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Stamford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Stamford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Stamford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Stamford paves the way for another one to be saved.
