My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~~Thanks for choosing rescue!
We apologize for the inconvenience. We have been having issues receiving and sending emails through our website. We have cc’d a “Yahoo” email (hhh.adoption@yahoo.com) in this correspondence as a backup to insure we receive any further correspondence, so please respond “all” when replying. Below is a description of each dog in our rescue  (available & under medical care). Please complete the application and return it to go forward in the adoption process.
All of our rescues are temperament tested around children of all ages, small and large dogs and cats. They all have basic training, IE; sit; down, come and walking on a lead. We are not a shelter, we are a rescue and all of our rescued dogs are kept in individual foster/volunteers homes. This gives them sometimes their first taste of having a family and being part of that family. Also, it provides us with the understanding of each individual rescue to match them to your family lifestyle and dynamics. As soon as we receive your application back, we will phone you to set up a home visit/meet & greet. If you are out of our area, we would request another rescue and/or veterinary office complete the home visit.
Our adoption fees arrange from $100.00, $250.00 to $350.00 for all puppies we have completed 4 10/1 vaccinations and 4 bordetello vaccinations and the rest of the vetting we provide below. Our adoption fees are based on the cost of vetting, transport and care for each one of our dogs individually. Each Photo has adoption fee at bottom of description. All of our rescues are completely vetted prior to adoption. Also, completed prior to adoptions are heartworm treatments as needed, any medical conditions treated (IE; allergies, demedex, etc.) and any surgeries for dogs coming into the rescue injured (IE; car accidents, etc.). Below is the vetting that all of our rescues receive prior to adoption. We only pull dogs from shelters and approximately 80% of our rescues come into the rescue heartworm positive. Those rescues are treated for heartworms prior to adoption.
Vetting;   adults; 1~7/1's DA2PPvL   Booster 7/1 30 days after arriving DA2PPvL   puppies; 3~7/1's DA2PPvL   Booster 7/1 @ 6 months DA2PPvL   adults & puppies;   bordetello vaccine  rabies vaccine & tag   microchip & tag   Pyrantel (twice)   heartworm tested @ 6 months or older   fecal tested   Spayed/Neutered   Heartworm Preventative (every month they are in rescue)   Flea preventative (every month they are in rescue)   New collar& tags  4Health Grain Free White fish& Potato
We do complete home visits prior to being approved. They are not designed to turn adopters down, but to point out safety issues for this breed. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Hogan's adoptable rescues;
Foxy Roxy is an Australian Kelpie. We call her our pocket Kelpie. When we first rescued Foxy from Memphis Animal Services she was emaciated and had been nursing puppies prior to being picked up as a stray. From our inquiries her puppies were not rescued from the streets. NOW Foxy is gorgeous! Her coat is silky smooth. Foxy Roxy is a really funny dog! She is completely housebroken, has shown no signs of destruction with her foster family and loves romping with her friends. She is very social and sweet with adults and children. She loves to get belly rubs and is a cuddler. We believe because she was used as a breeder dog at such a young age and ended up in the shelter emaciated it has stunted her growth. We were calling Roxy a pocket Husky at first because she is small (30lbs.), but we actually saw another Australian Kelpie at the dog park and the owners asked us where we got our Kelpie from. So we have changed Roxy's breed. Roxy is devoted to her people and wants to be where her foster family is. Are you Roxy's hero forever home? Adoption Fee: $250.00

Spirit is just a sweet loving medium sized dog approximately 18-24 months old. She is housebroken, crate trained, non-destructive and loves peanut butter treats. She is great with all dogs big or small, children and adults. We have temperament tested her with cats and she did not lunge or react aggressively, but she would probably need additional training to not chaise a cat. Spirit was rescued from a backyard breeder/hoarding situation and the owners were court ordered to relinquish the dogs. Eight all together. Hogan’s took Spice, Spirit & Duchess and helped a get the other five into other rescues. Spice loves being in a home and really appreciates being with her peeps and fosters siblings. She is a super smart dog and just wants her forever family. Spirit is learning very quickly how to be an inside dog, she has shown no signs of destruction, lets her foster family know when she needs to go outside to do her business and loves romping with her foster siblings a Husky and a Bull Terrier. Adoption Fee $100.00

Duchess is a sweet very laid back dog that just goes with the flow. She is housebroken, non-destructive and happy to be inside on a dog bed. She is great with other dogs big or small, non-reactive to cats, super sweet with children and adults. Duchess is shy at first, but warms up very quickly. She loves treats and is very receptive to training. She deserves her own forever home.  Duchess was rescued from a backyard breeder/hoarding situation and the owners were court ordered to relinquish the dogs. Eight all together. Hogan’s took Spice, Spirit& Duchess and helped a get the other five into other rescues. Spice loves being in a home and really appreciates being with her peeps and fosters siblings. She is a super smart dog and just wants her forever family. Duchess is learning very quickly how to be an inside dog, she has shown no signs of destruction, lets her foster family know when she needs to go outside to do her business and loves being with her foster family. Adoption Fee $100.00

Sophie is a 10-12 year old Siberian Husky that LOVES people and children. She is completely housebroken, non-destructive and can be left un-attended in her new home. She is good with most male dogs and some female dogs, but she would be happy being an alone dog as well. She loves her dog bed and is just as happy to cuddle up and watch a movie with her peeps. Adoption Fee $100.00

Faith should be an agility dog! She loves to run and romp with all dogs big or small,  she adores children, if there is swimming and fetching to be had she is even more happy! Faith is housebroken, crate trained and has shown no signs of being destructive. Faith is great on lead will walk right beside you, she is only 1 y/o per the veterinarian and is ready to go kayaking. Faith per our veterinarian is a border collie/Labrador/pit bull mix. Whatever breed she is a super sweet and fun dog. Her foster Mom is trying to teach her to catch a Frisbee, she loves the agility exercises at the dog park, Faith is treat motivated and listens attentively for her age. She could be trained to do anything! Faith was rescued from the Memphis Animal Shelter at the last hour before she was to be euthanized. We were blessed to find a foster home that saved this sweet girls life and boy was she worth it! Faith now needs her own forever home! Adoption Fee $100.00

Aztec is a young (18-24 month) Piebald Husky. We think he is just gorgeous!  He came from the Horn Lake shelter as a stray and was going kennel crazy in the run, Huskies need exercise! He is housebroken, crate trained, a lover after a few days when he knows he can trust. We have won him over with head massages, treats and playtime. He is super sweet. He is being neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (10/1 vaccine, Bordetello & Rabies) and fecal on 12/20/2016. He was heartworm tested at the shelter and we were so happy he is NEGATIVE! We will update with new photos after he has had a couple of days to recover from his neuter.  Adoption fee $250.00.

Zander is approximately one year of age, great with other dogs and children. We have not temperament tested him with cats yet. Zander loves people and playing fetch. He is housebroken, crate trained and ready to find his forever home. We will update his information and we find out more about this boy in foster. Adoption fee $150.00.

Ash is approximately 18 months per our veterinarian. We believe that Ash is a Kai Inu or Kai Ken, his photos make him look huge, be he is a medium size 40lb dog. He is super friendly, loves romping with his foster friends, plays catch, housebroken, crate trained, has shown no food aggression and just a fluffy loverboy. He gorgeous blue coat is like petting a really soft stuffed animal. Ash loves to get attention and is very affectionate! Adoption fee $250.00.
