I am already spayed, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
Meet Molly!! This spectacular dog flourishes on attention and interaction with humans. She is an absolute lady who sits to have her leash put on, and leaps out of the car like a pro. (Not as sure about getting INTO the car, but learning that everywhere she goes will be a good adventure!)
Molly loves walks and is also content receiving affection or just hanging out in her crate or on her bed while you work or watch television. Her true bliss is connecting with human friends, and although she would be fine with another dog in the home, our current plan is to find a home where she will be the only and will be totally doted upon as that is her heart's desire.
Happy all the time, Molly's fluffy tail is always wagging, and she is full of fun. She has an endearing habit of occasionally "talking" quietly to herself or no one at all :o) and she is so tickled to have learned that everything she does delights her foster family!
Molly has a treatable eye condition that makes her sensitive to UV light. She takes eyedrops twice a day and will soon be stylin' with doggie sunglasses or goggles for daytime outdoor activities.
Cats, rabbits, and smaller pets are a "No." Molly is polite to children, but smaller ones make her nervous.
Our fees and policies are on our home page at BetterDaysRescue.org. We encourage you to register on our site and "Favorite" the dog(s) that interest you, so that you will be notified when bio or photos are updated.
**IMPORTANT** If you are reading about this dog on a pet search site, PLEASE navigate to our animal list http://www.betterdaysrescue.org/animals/list and read this dog's entire, detailed profile, which includes important criteria that must be met in order for your application to be considered.
Dogs remain posted while we screen potential adopters. The dog's status will show "available" "pending adoption" or "adopted." As long as dog is "available" we continue to accept applications.
We are staffed by all volunteers and use an application protocol to handle all inquiries about adoptable dogs. This system enables an efficiency that allows us to save and care for more dogs. Discussion about a dog - including scheduling of a home check or other dialogue - cannot occur until we have received your completed adoption application. NO EXCEPTIONS. Thank you!
We save, care for, and rehabilitate dogs that may have some medical issues and/ or may not be easiest to place because of lack of training and socialization. Many of our dogs are taken from the euthanasia lists at the County shelters; some are found dogs with no apparent homes.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We make arrangements to meet prospective adopters. Typically, one of the executive officers will preside over the meet and greet. Usually, more than one meet and greet is required before an adoption will occur. The meet and greet is a structured and carefully planned event.
Our Adoption Process...
There is an extensive information application, a home visit is required, references are checked, and there is a contract.
