Wilson's Story...
It's darn near impossible to take a bad photo of Wilson!! In fact, it's kind of hard to stage a photo that he doesn't hop into. He's a love, but has a mind of his own. Impressive raccoon tail, distinctive meow, Wilson wants to be in the middle of whatever you're doing, but can also be content watching from a distance. And Wilson knows things. He may have written the book on cat enrichment, is sweet as cupcakes, and knows exactly how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop. With us since early this year, Wilson has earned his #LetsGoHome. We know it's out there.

Standard adoption fee for cats is $90, which helps pay for the veterinary care needed to ready pets for adoption. Email LvnCoHS@live.com for more information and an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wilson, a Lansing Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Lansing, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Lansing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lansing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lansing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lansing paves the way for another one to be saved.
