McLovin's Story...
"Hi, my name is McLovin! My name explains me quite well. I LOVE to receive, and give loves. I really enjoy my ears being rubbed too! I get along with everyone I meet. I wouldn't mind having a fur brother, or sister. I learned I love to play follow the leader with my foster sister. She is a Pomeranian, we hit it off pretty well. My most favorite thing to do, is to cuddle up next to humans. For some reason you guys make me feel cozy and safe. I only had a couple accidents in the house. Being from Arizona, this white cold stuff confuses me on what to do when I need to potty. However, my foster parents taught me that if I potty outside I get a delicious TREAT! So I will have to say, I'm catching on ! I don't mind riding in cars, I do like having a blanket to curl up in while you drive. I'm just so, so excited to find my forever home. I have so much love to give away for FREE !" A 2 year old male Chihuahua/Beagle mix, McLovin was transferred to us from Arizona. Rescuers report that McLovin was kept in a kennel for a month after being adopted from the county pound. The older man who adopted him complained that, "He is always trying to get out." When asked for more information, the man told the rescuer he kept the dog in a crate (24 hours a day) for a month. Because of this McLovin is not crazy about his kennel -- he doesn't mind going in, but it's not his favorite place to be. We don't blame him one bit.

If you want to apply for McLovin, please visit the rescue and fill out an application. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

McLovin, a Meridian Chihuahua/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Beagle for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Chihuahua/Beagle dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Beagle breeders who help with Chihuahua/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
