Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Baby is a very sweet, 21-pound, calm and quiet, eight-year-old, female Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso-mix looking for a very special dog-loving guardian.
Baby was brought to the vet by her family to be euthanized because she was suffering from ear and eye infections. Luckily the vet tech at the animal hospital, asked if she could take her home and treat her instead of euthanizing her.
Baby’s eye and ear infections are on the mend and she’s living happily in a loving foster home.
She is perfectly housebroken and good with people of all ages - including children. She follows her foster mom from room to room in her home. However, she will bite if someone tries to pick her up, or touch her paws. She is wonderful with cats and good with select dogs. She prefers small dogs to big fluffy dogs like Chows. Her best friends at her foster home are a Chihuahua and a cat.
She is looking for a home where someone is home more often than not. She would love to live with a retired person or someone who works from home. And, she is looking for someone who will have the patience to allow her the time to adjust to her new home.
Baby loves to go swimming at the lake, and loves her walks. She is now healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested negative. She does need eye drops daily to keep her comfortable and she may have occasional ear infections that her new guardian would need to watch for.
