My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IDGSR WELCOMES THUNDER INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!

Thunder was abandoned by his previous owner when they moved away and left the 3 dogs in a kennel in the backyard. Thunder is a very large male Shepherd that is approx. 6 yrs. old. He will do best with only a Large Breed Female Dog or being the only dog is just fine. Thunder has much love to give and he will benefit from a dedicated owner who will help him live the life he deserved all along. He did not get that and now IDGSR would like to see Thunder have a chance at happiness and to give the love that he has in his heart. No small children under age 12 for Thunder. He's a bit of a clod so we don't want to see little kids knocked over if he decided to push his way thru to get to you for attention. He is not good with other Male Dogs and he is not the type of German Shepherd that is going to do well going to a dog park. He will be happiest going on a nice walk or hike and staying home with his new mom or dad. He has zero people aggression and is loving and sweet. Thunder's name fits him well as he has a thunderous bark and will let you know if someone is there and also his size alone will prevent anyone from thinking of entering your home uninvited.

If you would like to make Thunder a part of your family, please copy the link and fill out an application.
