Jenning's Story...
JENNING is a handsome and affectionate one-year-old black and white tuxedo male kitty with an adorable white mustache and chin. He was rescued after being abandoned in an apartment when the tenants were evicted. Despite this sad occurrence, Jenning is a loving cat, seeking human attention and companionship whenever he can. Initially he was very scared, but it took less than 24 hours for him to show his sweet, confident side, and he has settled right into his foster home. Jenning also very much enjoys being around other cats and would likely do well in a home with dogs and children. His adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, tested negative for FIV/FELV, microchipped, deflead and dewormed and comes with a free vet visit. Jenning is currently in the cat room at the Petsmart on Coburg Rd (across from Costco). For more info, please call Beth at (541) 255-9296.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jenning, a Springfield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Springfield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Springfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Springfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Springfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Springfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
