My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sophia is the most precious little girl. She is approx 4-6 years old and 14 lbs. She had FHO surgery on her hips and is doing great!!! She loves attention and while she gets along with other dogs, she likes to hog all of the attention and would do better as an only dog with someone that can devote their love and attention to her. She is going to be a great companion. She seems toy be quite well house and leash trained and we think she is a cairn terrier/maltese mix. Because she had surgery, she would need a home without children.

The total adoption donation of $475 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Just as a note, if you are in Massachusetts and are adopting directly from Texas rather than from a local foster, there are new quarantine laws in effect. All rescues must be quarantined 48 hours at a state run facility, and in addition, a second interstate health certificate is required to be issued by a Massachusetts vet. This new law may add an additional cost.
