Zac's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, and up to date with shots.

Zac's Story...
Zac and Thud are buddies, they were 2 of the Los Alamos dogs taken from a bad situation. Although these two guys are pretty bonded and share a kennel, they will be fine adopted separately. We think Zac would do be in a home with another dog who is friendly and a people lover to help him learn the ropes. Zac takes a while to learn that people are good, but then he runs around the yard and is happy to return to you and get hugs and love. This great, loving dog does have a head tilt and may have a neurologic problem. Zac is 3 years old and has been at the shelter since November 9, 2016. ZAC - ID#A408590.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zac, a Santa Maria Catahoula Leopard Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Catahoula Leopard Dog for sale in Santa Maria, or seeking a Catahoula Leopard Dog dog from a breeder in Santa Maria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Maria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Maria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Catahoula Leopard Dog breeders who help with Catahoula Leopard Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Maria paves the way for another one to be saved.
