Mulligan's Story...
Updated June 2017:
Mulligan is a sweet, silly juvenile boy, about 18 months old and 45 pounds. He arrived as a stray, covered in fleas and with terrible skin, but knew how to "sit." We've gotten him cleaned up and now he's been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He's a mutt, and we really aren't sure of his exact breed mix.

He is very friendly and has lots of energy - he loves to run and play and is really good at playing fetch. He is strong on leash, but definitely wants to please and will respond well to treats. We've had him with female canine playmates and that has gone well. He sometimes cries when we walk away from him - he's ready to be your loyal, loving companion!

If you'd like to meet him or discuss adopting Mulligan, please contact Jody at 352-316-5155 (call or text) or email her at SCRWestLevy@gmail.com

Thanks for your interest in adopting!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mulligan, a Orange Lake Black Mouth Cur/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black Mouth Cur/Border Collie for sale in Orange Lake, or seeking a Black Mouth Cur/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Orange Lake.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Orange Lake already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Orange Lake breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black Mouth Cur/Border Collie breeders who help with Black Mouth Cur/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Orange Lake paves the way for another one to be saved.
