Eve's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, declawed, and good with cats.

Eve's Story...
Well behaved and quiet, Eve loves being around her hoo-mans, cuddling and playing and rolling over for belly rubs as often as possible. She loves tons of affection, which is a welcome change of pace for the typical cat owner, who basically has to beg for attention only to be met with that trademark feline side eye. Pet and hold her, offer her a toy, or run some tap water for her to dart her paw through - Eve loves any and all attention you can give her! Beautiful Eve was born in 2010 and is front paw declawed.

If you live in Chicago and are interested in learning more about Eve, please contact Toni McNaughton at and Lisa Ward at Please tell us a bit about your situation, what you are looking for, the composition of your current household (the other humans and/or pets who already live there). We are always in need of foster homes. If you are not able to adopt, but are interested in fostering or know someone who might be, we would love to hear from you! Please contact Toni McNaughton at or Lisa Ward at to learn more. Photos by Kari Peters

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eve, a Chicago Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
