Here's what the humans have to say about me:
A ‘King’ Among Pups!
10-month-old, male, large, black and tan German Shepherd
Good with other dogs: Yes
Good with children: Yes
Good with cats: Yes
Talk about royalty! Meet King. He is a big, but super friendly guy. This fellow may be big, but oh my is he a sweet, sweet boy. He’s still a puppy, but has already mastered quite a few commands, such as sit and down. And this handsome guy is already housebroken too!
King is a very playful, energetic dog and would do best with an active family. And guess what. He even gets along with cats! He’s not their best friend, but he co-exists with them without any problems, so what more could you ask?
King’s previous owners said he does like children, but we’d recommend older children since he’s a very big guy and is likely to accidentally knock down little ones. He’s learning his leash manners and his foster reports that he’s doing great because he’s a very smart guy!
Please keep in mind that since King is still a puppy, his family will need to be committed to ongoing training to ensure this big guy learns his manners. He would likely love a family that would taking him for runs, hikes or other active adventures in addition to training.
As always, if you are interested in a Saving Paws dog, you must fill out our online application to get the approval process started. We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application. All staff members are volunteers and are not compensated for their time and expenses. Many juggle family and full-time careers while volunteering at Saving Paws. Please be patient, as sometimes it takes up to 5 days to process an application.
