Scarlett's Story...
Scarlett is a gorgeous 2 year old chesapeak bay retriever and lab mix. She is very sweet and friendly. She loves people and loves getting attention. She was most likely living alone on the streets for a bit, so is relearning house manners, but she is so appreciative of everything and so willing to make you happy that its adorable! She has done well with other dogs and cats and would make a good companion or family dog. She has also been around children and done great with them. She loves giving big, sloppy kisses. She is a decent sized girl at about 60lbs. This sweet girl will be available at our adoption event this coming Saturday 12/31 at the Fort Collins Petco 2211 S. College Ave from 10am-1pm. If you are interested in this friendly girl, please submit an application through our website aaanimalrescue.org. Please feel free to email with any questions allaboardanimalrescue@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scarlett, a Fort Collins Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Fort Collins, or seeking a Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Fort Collins.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Collins already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Collins breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Collins paves the way for another one to be saved.
