Xena's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Xena's Story...
Meet Xena! Xena is the type of cat that everyone dreams of owning. She greets you at the door and her foster mom says some days she acts more like a dog than a feline. Visitors instantly fall in love with this medium-haired beauty. Xena is FIV positive, but don't worry because FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives. Xena LOVES other cats. She's very playful and would do well in any household. Xena plays with cats, dogs, and even nuzzles her human foster baby brother. Her best friend right now is her foster brother, Boo. She also loves to sleep upside down, much to her foster mom's enjoyment!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Xena, a Athens Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Athens, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Athens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Athens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Athens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Athens paves the way for another one to be saved.
