Luke's Story...
We would like you to meet Luke!
Luke is a handsome 2 year old Lab mix. This handsome boy has a very chill and calm demeanor. Luke is good with other dogs (but does not do well with unneutered males). We only adopt to families of altered pets but it has to be noted for future possible interactions. Luke is good with kids as well. He has not been cat tested at this time. He is working on his basic obedience and will need his family to continue teach him. Luke is touching up on his house manners as well. Over all, Luke is a relaxed guy that will need a little time and training but should need a medium activity home over all.
Luke is a wonderful boy and we know he will make a wonderful companion to his new family!
If you have room in your home and heart for Luke, please visit www.because4paws.org and fill out an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luke, a Oxford Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Oxford, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Oxford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oxford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oxford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oxford paves the way for another one to be saved.
