Ginny's Story...
Beautiful Ginny girl is about 4 years old and is spayed and ready to go! She is a German Shepherd mix and has some of the best manners around. Ginny loves to learn and is very intelligent. She knows how to walk politely on a leash, sit, come, stay, and lay down. We are so impressed with her willingness to listen and learn! Ginny is anxious in the kennel environment and doesn't show wonderfully inside her kennel. Outside of the kennel, understandably so, she is a very different dog. She loves treats and loves to be near you. Ginny would prefer it if there were only adults in her future forever home. She will make the best companion to a quite household. So far, she has done well with other dogs at the shelter. If you are looking for a dog that you would like to train and who will love you so much, Ginny is the perfect girl for you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginny, a Michigan City German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Michigan City, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Michigan City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Michigan City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Michigan City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Michigan City paves the way for another one to be saved.
