Wink's Story...
Quick as a wink, you're in love...with Wink! This tiny tot is just the most adorable thing you've ever seen - the perfect mix of scruff, soft, and cute! Wink is a two year old Toy Fox Terrier/Chihuahua mix who came to ACL from a local animal control facility. Wink is goofy and affectionate - he'll dance for your attention, and he wants nothing more than to perch on you and watch the world go by. Wink is a hyperaffectionate little dog who can be clingy at first, but with a patient home, he'll get more confident and less needy. Wink is fine with other small dogs and cats that respect his space, but he's a little overwhelmed by big dogs. He needs an experienced small dog owner who has some patience and previous knowledge of working with small dogs through some transitional stress and anxiety. He'd do best in homes with kids 14 and up. What he really wants is to be your little prince - the first face you see in the morning and the last face you see at night. Plan to catch 40 winks with Wink!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wink, a Oak Park Toy Fox Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Toy Fox Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Oak Park, or seeking a Toy Fox Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Oak Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Toy Fox Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Toy Fox Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
