Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET MAZY!
This stunning, teeny-tiny medium-haired Tabby is named Mazy! Mazy is 5-8 years old and was originally brought to Philadelphia's animal control shelter because her owner passed away. The staff immediately knew Mazy was a special girl but we weren't sure just HOW special she was until she joined us at City of Elderly Love!
Mazy isn't just adorable, affectionate, outgoing, and hilarious - she also has CH! CH (Cerebellar Hypoplasia) is a non-progressive, non-contagious neurological condition that results in walking and balance problems due to the part of the brain that controls motor function being underdeveloped. While CH cats might wobble, fall down and appear different, they have no idea the they are anything other than normal cats! This rings especially true for Mazy! She absolutely adores attention, loves to be picked up and snuggled, and will wobble up to her visitors immediately! She has no trouble finding her food and water bowls, and no issue using her litter box, though she may make a little bit of a mess when covering her business due to her unsteady balance. Besides needing some help up on the couch or the bed and some assistance in maneuvering the stairs, Mazy requires no additional veterinary care or support related to her CH.
Mazy is currently living at our cat adoption center at Dog Town in New Britain, PA! She is living with several other cats and gets along with them fabulously. She was also recently in a home with dogs and wasn't too bothered by them. With an appropriate introduction, she should get along with other friendly pets without issue. Mazy is so sweet and laid back that we think she'd do great in a home with children too, as long as they understand her limitations.
Mazy is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is also FIV & FeLV negative. She also recently had her teeth professionally cleaned at our vet! Interested in adopting her?
