Please submit an application AND do NOT also contact the shelter. You will be contacting both the adoption coordinator and the marketing director, who do not see each other's emails. This causes confusion.
There truly aren't enough words to express how awesome MASON is! He is handsome, kind, cuddly, goofy, affectionate....the list goes on and on. MASON is 2 years old and a joy to be around. He shares his foster home with a little girl named Olivia (his best friend), a cat, a small dog, and 2 other large dogs. In addition to getting along with the other animals in his foster home, he has been fabulous with every dog he has met since joining Woof River. MASON constantly brings a smile to everyone's face with top his notch personality and hilarious antics. When it is time for dinner he carries his food bowl across the house and stands in front of his foster family (just in case they forgot ). He loves to play with all toys. He can also be entertained by chasing the cat's laser pointer. MASON is ALWAYS ready to snuggle and soak up affection. He enjoys running in the yard, sunning, and exploring as well. This boy knows not to potty in the house and minds his manners in his crate while his foster parents are at work. He is the best all around dog anyone could ever dream of. He is an endlessly loyal companion and fantastic sidekick for life's adventures. His forever family is going to be blessed to call this guy their own.
MASON is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations.
His local adoption fee is $250.

ALL OF OUR DOGS START THEIR JOURNEY IN MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE WHERE THEY REMAIN IN LOVING FOSTER FAMILIES UNTIL THEY ARE ADOPTED. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
