Catpurrnicus's Story...
Catpurrnicus here, and I've got some great new ideas! For example, I would love a home where I could live inside and be a beloved member of the family. Being allowed to roam around outside alone is what got me into the mess of getting lost in the first place! I know that idea might be shocking for some people, but just like my namesake, I'm going to advocate for it since it makes the most sense for me. I'm affectionate and loving, but not super demanding. I'm ready to integrate into just about any household. I totally have my litter box manners down; that's one great advantage to adopting an adult cat too! What do you think? Is this a meeting of great minds? I hope we can think alike!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Catpurrnicus, a Harrisonburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
