Dog's Name: Henna
Estimated Breed : Shepherd mix
Approximate Age: 3 yrs
Approximate Weight: 45 lbs
Currently Living at: a loving foster home
Adoption Fee: $375
Henna was the sweet mommy to the Paw Patrol litter. All of her babies have been adopted and she is ready for her forever family. She is a very gentle soul. She gets along with her foster siblings; human and canine alike. She hasn't found a couch that she doesn't love! Henna was heartworm positive, but don't let that scare you away. She has been treated for heartworm and is in perfect shape. All she needs is a loving home willing to take her on walks and play with her. She walks well on leash and travels nicely in the car.
Contact JaneB@k-9lifesavers.org for more information on Henna.
Update from Henna's foster mom: This weather has been great for Henna, she loves to sunbathe. Henna's has been getting along with most dogs at the park and at the event. She is doing well with the resident dog. Henna is very loyal and looks to please her person. She is a great walker and has a fair amount of energy. Henna is playful and funny!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/?page_id=64 or email our Foster Coordinator at email@example.com
