RUSTY's Story...
Rusty is a little male miniature Australian Shepherd who was born on 10-10-06. He was owner surrendered by a lady who said there were family problems, and she could no longer keep him. He is listed as a "special needs" dog because he is missing his left front leg. He got it caught in a fence and broke it in several places. He had surgery, and they thought it was going to be okay. However, complications developed, and it had to be amputated. He really has no special needs, but it was felt that potential adopters should be sure to know about it. He is a beautiful little fellow; he likes people; and he gets along well with other dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

RUSTY, a Anna Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Anna, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Anna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Anna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Anna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Anna paves the way for another one to be saved.
