My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Liberty! Named because she officially won her freedom. Her friends affectionately call her Libby. Libby is a 5 year old mix that was found starving, tethered 24/7 in a backyard by APL Volunteer and Lorain Patrolman Rick Broz. She was immediately placed in a loving foster home to gain weight and get healthy. This is what Libby's dad had to say about her..."Libby is really a docile laid back girl that absolutely loves to be hugged and loved. She was one of the dogs Lorain Police Officer Rick Broz saved and has some scars to prove it. She's very smart and listens well. Libby does well overnight in her kennel. She was a little tentative the first few nights. She has no issues with chewing things, no teeth issues at all. She is working on house training and has made no mistakes in her kennel or in the house if taken out regularly. She is a really sweet lady that would make someone very happy. Just a huggable sweetheart. It takes her a little while to warm up to new people. Libby is back at Friendship ready and waiting for her new home.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
