STANLEY's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, and up to date with shots.

STANLEY's Story...
Stanley is a really handsome, people friendly boy who will sit, stay, and lay down. Don't you just love the ears on this guy? Stanley is estimated to be 4 years old and weighs 52 pounds. He came to the shelter when he was found out on his own on Dec. 22nd. We're not sure if Stanley is good with other dogs or not. You should bring your dog to meet him if you are interested - the shelter allows this and will help you with a meet and greet in a bonding room or outside. You will not be allowed to walk up and down the rows of dogs with your pet dog however so bring someone to hold your dog up front if you want to take turns walking around the shelter.

Stanley and other dogs go through a lot, from fending for themselves on the street, to the unfamiliar shelter environment, and then if they are lucky they are adopted and taken to a new home. Give them some time to decompress and settle in. Treat them like they are a puppy and don't know any better. The owner needs to show them the rules of the house and what is acceptable and what is not. Some dogs already know this, some need a refresher course, and some have never lived inside so they need to be taught everything.

Stanley is a beauty and we are sure he will make a wonderful boy for some lucky family. He is up to date with shots, has been neutered, and will be micro-chipped upon adoption. Stanley is in Run 25 and his ID is 591076. He has tested positive for heart worms and will need to be treated for those. Please speak with your vet about treatment options

Why Adoption is a Great Option

STANLEY, a Marietta Pit Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
