Horatio's Story...
HORATIO
MALE
PIT MIX
DOB: 1/13/14
HEARTWORM: LOW, being treated

Meet our main man, Horatio! This sweetheart loves EVERYONE! He is gentle and well mannered! He loves children and dogs. He was picked up as a stray but is clearly someone's lost pet! Horatio has been at the shelter almost a year now. He has been fostered and LOVES riding in the car, cuddling on the couch, and just being with his humans! He is also house trained. But, he gets very afraid when he is left home alone, so he will need another dog in the home, and ideally, someone who can spend lots of time with him. He has been dreaming of his perfect person for so long :( This baby just wants to give love!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Horatio, a St. Francisville Pit Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in St. Francisville, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in St. Francisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Francisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Francisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Francisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
