Meet Snuggles! Sweet Snuggles was surrendered by her owner after being used for breeding at Chicago Animal Care and Control on August 5. Shortly after her arrival, she got sick with the flu, and it also became evident that she was actually dumped while pregnant, so Guardians rushed in to help this unwanted, sick, momma dog. Snuggles had 7 beautiful puppies on September 16, and now this pretty momma is ready for a forever home of her own. Snuggles is about 4 years old, 55 pounds, and has a beautiful splotchy white and brindle coat. She is an easy going kind of girl, and truly lives up to her name- she LOVES snuggling up with you on the couch. She would probably do that all day if you wanted to! Often times she will come sit next to you, gently give you her paw to hold, and look at you with adoring eyes that say "pet me", and you can't resist. Next thing you know..she is flopped over wanting a belly rub. She also loves to "talk" to you. Her comical noises will never leave you feeling lonely. In addition to snuggling, Snuggles also loves her daily walks. She trots right along with you in her harness and has great leash manners. She always loves it when we stop and say hello to people so she can get some extra attention and loving- this girl is SUPER friendly. She likes exploring her backyard, and really enjoys rolling around in the grass. When she goes on car rides she loves to smell that fresh air from the window. She has her favorite toys that she likes to gently play with and chew on, but this girl isn't interested in bursting out in crazy zoomies, or an intense game of fetch. Snuggles is potty trained, crate trained (although she is very content when left loose in the house), and knows basic commands. She is dog friendly (both little and big), and currently lives with two fur siblings, but would do just fine as an only dog. Oh, and Snuggles also loves kids!!
