Adventure is a happy happy happy little guy that loves to play hard and snuggle closely. He is dachshund mix but like most dogs of this breed, he has no idea he is small. He seems to consider himself the ferocious protector of the home and hearth and will tell any strangers he is there taking care of everyone. But once he is introduced to new people his tail goes a mile a minute and he instantly becomes the welcoming party!
He is good with people, dogs, cats and older children. He is loves smaller children too, but he can play too rough for them unless there is someone experienced in dog training to make sure he knows the boundaries and doesn't jump and nip when playing. He would make a great playmate for another dog, but introductions and the right match are recommended because he has a strong and energetic personality that not all dogs would appreciate living with. The same with cats. He is not aggressive with cats but he wants to play with them and not all cats are appreciative of his enthusiasm.
He is house broken and knows 'sit' and 'no' but has not been provided with any formal command training.
