Fitz's Story...
Name: Fitz
Breed: Mini Aussie
Age: Adult
Gender: Male

Fitz is a 3 year old Mini Aussie seeking a new home through no fault of his own. He is a sweet boy with a ton of energy. He is good with other dogs (not sure about cats) and he loves kids. Because of his high energy level and his tendency to jump, he would be best suited with a family with older kids. He is extremely intelligent and understands basic commands. He will need a fenced yard, he is quick and the boy can jump 5 feet easily, so the higher the fence the better. Fitz kennels during the day without any issues. He would do well with other dogs, but may love the attention of being the only fur baby as well. He's active, athletic, smart and super snuggly. We are not placing him in an apartment setting nor out of state.

Requirements: Fenced yard higher than 5 feet

You can email kladams4545@gmail.com with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fitz, a Minneapolis Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
