Mojo's Story...
Name: Mojo
Breed: Lab/Boxer mix
Age: Adult
Gender: Male

Mojo is an adult male Lab/Boxer mix, a solidly built guy with a marshmallow personality. He is reliably house trained once he learns the routine, and does need you to pay attention to his signals to go out. Mojo is learning what is his to chew on and whats not, and doing well-- he LOVES having his own bones to chew on. We recommend starting with a crate when left alone for any dog adopted, but he is earning his way to freedom when alone at his foster home now. He sure enjoys cavorting outside but then comes inside to be a couch potato. He is very good with other dogs, used to cats but does consider them playmates and wants badly to play with them, and even handles the horses with caution and respect. Mojo will wander if left outside unsupervised, so needs a fenced yard or a home willing to go out with him. He has always had a home with a yard so would do best in a home with yard space rather than an apartment. He loves to play and his whole body wiggles when he greets you. He absolutely loves the dog park (working on recall/come while there) and the company of other dogs, but does play like a Boxer, so can be a little rough. His happy nature makes everyone who meets him smile.

Requirements: Home with yard space, no cats unless cats are very dog savvy and willing to play or can tolerate a dog who wants them to

You can email with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mojo, a Minneapolis Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Boxer for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Boxer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
