My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little 6 lb boy is full of energy and ready for love! Jag is approximately 3 years old and sweet as pie! He came to us from a puppy mill, so he had no idea what it was like to know a soft human touch, sleep in a warm bed, or eat food from a bowl of his own. Jag lay huddled in a blanket, not eating and cowering in fear the first few days we had him. He now races around the house and yard helping his foster canine brother chase a rubber ducky, explores every nook and cranny of the house and yard with fascinated curiosity, and dances around when he thinks it's time to eat! Jag will require patience and time to feel comfortable to approach or be held, but he has been spending a couple of hours snuggling with his foster mama and brother each morning. He loves being out in the sun, and would be best suited in a home with a small yard. Because of his reticence to be approached or picked up, it may be difficult for him to be around small children for awhile. He will need calm, gentle areas at first, so that he can develop trust and courage. He loves being around other animals, and will benefit from being with other pups who can teach him how to trust humans and how to be a beloved doggie and friend! If you would like to meet Jag, please fill out an application found at www.RescueAChi.com and we will give you a call.
