My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I'm Daisy Mae! I'm a 10 year old beagle mix. The shelter thought I was a beagle / chihuahua mix, but my foster parents think I may be a pug / beagle mix due to my squat body and curly tail. Either way, a lot of people think I am a super cute pup! I'm little and only weigh about 18 pounds.
I was surrendered to the shelter by a family that was unable to properly care for me. I came into the rescue unaltered, with a terrible skin infection from untreated flea allergies and an ear infection. It also looks like I've had several litters of puppies. I've now been spayed and am being treated for my skin and ear infections. Good news - the vet thinks my skin will heal up fine and all my missing hair will grow back! I seem to be in really good health otherwise. I'm 10 years old, but still very active. I love walks and enjoy running around the the house and yard playing with my toys. Check out my video!
I had an accident the first few hours in my foster home, but none since! I am crated when my family goes to work and at night in the bedroom. I always keep my crate clean and dry. I live with two other dogs and a cat in my foster home and we all get along just fine, although the bossy cat has gone after me a few times for no good reason! I'm fairly quiet, but I do bark in my crate after you leave for work. The last time I went for a car ride I barked non stop, so I may not be the best travel companion. We will see how she does as we travel with her more and update if this was a fluke. I love to cuddle and will curl up right on your lap if I can. Please contact Midwest BREW if you think I may be a fit for your family! I'm ready for my forever family!
