**Update** (12/31/16) Chance is not able to stand very long at all most days. He is now in PA and will be having an MRI. We are raising funds for this test to be done for Chance. IF YOU CAN HELP, PLEASE EMAIL AngelsAmongUsRS@live.com. (9/30/16) Meet Chance....an adorable little Maltese mix man who has had a rough life. Chance was in an out of state shelter, and we were asked to help him. He has a very hard time standing and walking, but he manages and he is in great spirits. It was suspected to be neurological damage, but when he was sent for xrays, it was discovered that he has several BB's throughout his body. Chance was having a hard time in the shelter and really needed our help. He knuckles over on his paws while he walks and occasionally loses his balance and falls. He is very tolerant and doesn't mind being carried, pet, or being examined by a vet. Chance was seen by a vet to asses his neurological issues, and we will be deciding on his treatment. Little Chance will need a very special foster family when he arrives to PA the beginning of November! IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO FOSTER CHANCE, PLEASE EMAIL AngelsAmongUsRS@live.com.

About Angels Among Us Animal Sanctuary

About Our Rescue Group...

Our rescue focuses on senior dog adoption and hospice care. We pull most of our rescue dogs from high kill shelters where seniors have no chance of adoption. We also take owner surrenders when the owner can no longer care for their senior dog. We have foster homes in several states for our adoptable seniors. We are especially proud of our "Seniors for Seniors" Program where we match our adoptable senior dogs with senior citizens. We have fundraising events so that we can donate the vetting for this program. We rescue dogs with special needs who are blind, deaf, arthritic, diabetic...as well as dogs with serious illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, etc. We have three foster homes that specialize in the care of our Resident Angels, our hospice cases. We are an all volunteer organization, and we are always looking for volunteers, foster homes, and help with fundraising.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an application, vet reference check, personal references and a home visit prior to approval. We accept adoption donations to go toward our vetting costs for each dog. Their is no adoption fee/donation for our "Seniors for Seniors" Program which matches our senior dogs with senior citizens.
