Meet Dewey...
Dewey is a 7 month old Rat Terrier possibly chihuahua mix. He was surrendered to us by an older gentleman because he was no longer able to physically care for him. He came to us at about 4 months old. Unfortunately, he was not able to begin any training on him so we have had to work on everything. He is still not 100% potty trained but that is because he is such a puppy that he forgets!! But he does know where to go and he does give you signs that he needs to go. So he is getting there.
He is currently with 6 other small dogs in the house and loves to play with them. Although, he doesn't know when to stop. Lol The others will want to be left alone but he just doesn't think that is necessary. He loves all toys, balls and bones. He loves to destroy the fluffy toys! (Trying to break that but he is teething)
Have not tested him with cats. He saw a Great Dane the other day and ran away squealing. I think he thought it was a horse! Lol. My children are 18 and 20 so we have no little ones around. But he is super wiggly and will jump from your arms so I would say no young children.
We did mention experienced adopter!! He is a very strong willed pup and is testing his limits. (That's because he had no previous puppy training) He is getting there and he knows better. He just needs to realize that you are the boss.
He MUST have a fenced in yard! He is super fast and needs to run his energy off! No tie outs! Not for this little guy. He needs to be able to run.
He has a cute personality and uses his paws like hands. He will hold your face and kiss you. He will wave them at you to go away when you go to pick him up sometimes. He uses them to play with you. He is super cute just rotten!! 😉
