Good Faith Goldie's Story...
Saved in Memory of Goldie - Best Dog Ever!
The GOLDIE Transport just arrived at Joyful Rescues, saving 19 lives. This transport was sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Walter Yudikaitis, parents of our staff member, Katie, in loving memory of Katie's 'Best Dog Ever', Goldie. We thank them for choosing to honor Goldie with a living tribute, and hope the furry lives saved provide a bit of a silver lining to Katie's loss.
Good Faith was born about October 21, 2016 and will probably, that is a BIG probably weigh in the 50 lb. range. The shelter staff was told that the mom was a pure Australian Shepherd, but we are struggling with that a bit..... We decided to call them a Shepherd/Ausralian Cattle Dog mix of some sort, but we are TRULY guessing at breed and if you don't like surprises these pups are not for you. The 'Good' puppies are delightful, happy, well adjusted, and just full of energy. This is all we know so far as the southern shelter doesn't have enough staff to take the time to ask a lot of questions and it is felt that doing so embarrasses the owners as the reasons are so often financial. Also, often it doesn't matter as their time there can be very short. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $350.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES
We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
Our primary goals here at Joyful Rescues are to re-home pets and save them from becoming homeless in the future, educate the public on pet care and spaying/neutering to control the pet overpopulation, to spay/neuter every pet before they leave us and spay/neuter as many pets, belonging to the public, as possible within our means.
