Fiona's Story...
Well hello there, my name is Fiona. My brother, Felix, and I were rescued from a life outdoors by some very nice people. Now I have my very own bed in a great foster home, but I'm ready to find one of those forever homes I keep hearing so much about!

I bet you want to know a little bit about me. Well, I have some pretty strict requirements for my forever home. I will need hovering servants to feed me and pet me whenever I want, a warm lap to rest in, toys to play with, and a soft bed to sleep on (preferably yours). I am a kitten, so of course I like to play, but I’m not very picky about my toys. My only requirement is that when playtime is over, you give me lots of pets and then we snuggle.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fiona, a Richmond Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
