Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Did you know that dachshunds often live 15 to 20 years?
Meet Buddy! He is a super sweet senior, small black and tan long hair dachshund. He lost his older human parents, then had some signs of physical neglect and found himself on death row in an Animal Control facility. Fortunately, Animal Control contacted Skyway Dachshund Rescue and we were able to bring him into a safe, loving foster home. He is now ready to find his Happily Ever After Home!
Buddy is considered an old guy at 12 years old, but you'd never guess he is a senior as he is quite active and healthy. He also has the most wonderful manners.
He is a very gentle soul with a soft, gentle mouth and eats politely. He is fully house trained, and both asks to go out and is proficient with his use of doggy doors. He likes attention but doesn’t demand it, just yearns it and accepts it very willingly. He is very small at about 12 lbs, but holds his own with the bigger doxies. He seems to have been a man's boy as he follows his foster dad around like a silent little shadow.
If you are looking for a sweet, gentle, quiet companion dog and have room in your heart to give a few more years to a senior, Buddy is the boy for you!
