Facts about Nikko

  • Breed: Chihuahua Mix
  • Color: Brown/Chocolate
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
Tiny little Nikko came to us after being surrendered by his family at the local shelter. Reason: too old. He's far from it and we can't wait for him to start the next chapter of his life with a real forever family.
He's a great little boy who gets along with other dogs (even tries to play!) and is friendly with people. Nikko loves to cuddle on his foster mom's lap as she's working.
Nikko is 11 years old and just under 6 lbs.
He came to us with a mouth full of painfully rotten teeth and our vet had to remove them all. He does just fine on a soft food diet.
If you're looking for a tiny companion to make your days happier, here he is. Our little Nikko is loving and sweet as can be!

About Tails of Gray

About Our Rescue Group...

Tails of Gray is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization that offers a safe and loving sanctuary for senior dogs regardless of breed, health or ease of placement. Our goal is to prevent needless euthanasia through the offering of shelter, adoption, foster, hospice and education.
All Tails of Gray senior dogs are spayed and neutered, microchipped and receive appropriate veterinary care and treatment.
Tails of Gray welcomes the unwanted and heals the sick. Those precious senior dogs who cannot be healed will spend their final days in a comfortable environment where they experience unconditional love, some for the first time.

Our Adoption Process...

To adopt a dog from Tails of Gray, you must:

1. Complete an online application for adoption.
2. Meet your prospective pet. If your application to adopt is approved, our adoption coordinators will schedule a meet and greet with you and the senior dog you are applying to adopt.
3. Complete a home visit. If you (and your family) and the dog are a good match for each other, a home visit is then scheduled and completed.
4. Finalize the adoption. After a home visit is complete, the adoption can be finalized and a new happy tail can be told!

The adoption fee is $200
