I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Tillie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Tillie's Story...
Tillie was rescued from a local shelter along with Shay. She is approximately 3-4 years old and weighs in at about 62 lbs. She appears to have been well cared for. She is current on vaccinations and will be spayed prior to adoption. Tillie has successfully completed heartworm treatment.

Tillie is friendly and know some basic commands ("sit"). Tillie is laid back and is content to find a spot to curl up on the floor. The good folks at the shelter feel it would be ideal to find Tillie and Shay them a home together, but if not possible, Tillie would probably do best in a home with other dogs. Tillie is friendly with cats!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tillie, a Houston Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Houston, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
