Clara's Story...
Sweet Clara came to our shelter as part of a hoarding case in July. Her previous owner was arrested on 19 counts of animal cruelty for abandoning these animals in his apartment without food or water and living in squalor. Clara is one of the lucky ones to make it through all of this and be ready for a forever home. She's a lovely girl who enjoys being petted. She would love a forever home and gets along great with other cats. Clara is about 2-3 years old.

Clara is spayed, vaccinated, feline leukemia/AIDS negative, and is current on flea/tick preventative. She is also microchipped with a lifetime registration. To meet her, please visit our adoption center at PetSmart, 400 Universal Drive, North Haven or complete our adoption application by visiting our website Adoption donation $175

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clara, a North Haven Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in North Haven, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in North Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
