Stormy's Story...
From Campus Cats in Athens, GA - please share: URGENT! This cuddly teddy bear needs a home! We have NO MORE ROOM TO HOUSE adoptable cats, so he is in a make-shift pen at the moment where he does not get the attention he craves. The name Stormy is not a good description for this sweet boy! But it seemed fitting at the time when we rescued him from a storm drain where he had been trapped for five days.

Stormy is a young adult, probably not more than 2 years old. Very calm and companionable, he loves being adored and watching out windows. He likely would be fine with other cats with proper introduction.

He is neutered and current on vaccinations, had a negative combo test, and is current on flea and worm treatments. Although blind in one eye, the vet says it is either a long-ago injury that has healed, or he may have been born that way, but either way it is not something that is bothering him or needs further vet care.

Campus Cats adopts to indoor-only homes and requires the adopter bring a cat carrier to safely transport their new family member home. We do not have a set adoption fee but we do ask for a donation to help us continue helping cats like Stormy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stormy, a Wakinsville Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Wakinsville, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Wakinsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wakinsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wakinsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wakinsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
