Mickey's Story...
Hi everyone! My name is Mickey, what's yours? My story started off sad but I heard now that I've had my surgery (eye removal) I should find my forever family which will make me so happy! I was born into a hoarder house. We were all smashed in cages with minimal food and water and no litter boxes. We were laying in piled up urine and feces. When there's too many cats living together not being taken care of like they should something called an upper respiratory infection gets everyone sick. I was so sick my eye had ruptured and had to be removed! But that's in the past, I'm ready for the future! I'm a super snuggly happy go lucky little boy. As soon as I see my foster mama I start my purr motor up and wait for her to pick me up. I reach my arms out to her for hugs. Then she gives me kisses on my nose. I get along great with other cats, kids, and dogs. Are you looking for a super awesome kitten like me? If so please email my foster mama at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mickey, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
