Facts about Downy

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Gray Or Blue (Mostly)
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Downy is a beautiful 2 year old girl who came to us in December as a stray. Downy is an aloof cat who is friendly once you give her time to get to know you. She would do best in a relaxed home with one or two adults to dote on her and gain her trust. Play sessions and lots of toys would likely help win Downy's affection, as she does enjoy a good romp!

Downy has tested positive for Feline Leukemia, which means she should be an only cat or go home with another Leukemia positive cat.

Downy qualifies for our Care for Life adoption program, which means you will provide for her daily needs and regular vet visits, and MRFRS will cover medical expenses related to her leukemia.

Downy is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.

Our Adoption Process...

No cat can be adopted without an adoption application being completed. You can find this form on our website, or stop by and pick one up. You will be notified by telephone or email as soon as your application review has been completed. This process generally takes 2-3 days. If there is a cat that interests you, a $25 non-refundable deposit can be placed on the cat and it will be held until your application is approved. If you are not approved your deposit will be returned to you. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Our adoption fees are $200 for a kitten one year and under, $125 for cats over one year and $50 for special needs cats. If adopting 2 cats/kittens you will receive a $25 discount off the total fee. The adoption fee includes testing for feline leukemia and feline aids, spay/neuter, rabies, distemper, worming, flea treatments etc. Some cats and kittens may not be able to receive all of these vaccines and it will become your responsibility to make sure your new cat's vaccines are tended to. All new parents receive a health record stating what vaccines and treatment the cat has had.
