My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FRED NEEDS A FOSTER HOME

WE ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF A FOSTER WITHOUT ANY OTHER ANIMALS OR CHILDREN IN THE HOUSE. PEOPLE WHO HAVE WESTIE OR TERRIER EXPERIENCE ONLY PLEASE.

Fred came to WRNT 2 yrs. ago. His first home had small children and his Mom couldn't handle both. She gave Fred to someone that she thought would take care of him. Well, he wasn’t. She took Fred back and contacted us at rescue. Once in rescue we learned that Fred has food aggression. Most likely caused from having to fear not getting to eat his food. He has jealousy with other dogs in a home when they are with their humans.
We decided it would be best for Fred to be in an only dog home. A wonderful lady adopted Fred.
Fred was with his new Mom for almost 2 years. Fred's Mom became sick and regretfully had to give him back to WRNT.
We placed Fred in foster care with 2 other dogs, and he does “ok” but we learned he still has jealousy sharing his humans. We started working with him on the food aggression. We noticed Fred was having “seizure type” episodes, he was running in circles, not the typical seizure. Fred went to the dogtor and we are trying him on an anti- seizure medication. (Fred has not been diagnosed with Epilepsy, we are trying the medication to see if it helps).
Fred is a beautiful 9 yr. old boy that wags his tail, plays with his toys, loves to go for walks and loves to watch TV! Fred does not like windshield wipers, either in the car or on TV.
If you are willing to open up your home to give this boy his space to grow and learn, please let us know. Go to www.wrnt.org and submit an application to foster Fred and WRNT will provide his medical care until he is ready to be adopted.
